The Media Needs to Stop Jinxing Pitchers in Perfect Game Situations.

Growing up playing baseball one golden rule that was never really tough was always to stay away from the pitcher if they were having a game.  That narrative has changed significantly, especially in the media.

As we have even seen with one of our bloggers here.

But more notibly today with Michael Pineda:

I mean do not get me wrong Michael Pineda is not a guy I would even want to come close to a perfect game but for the love of the game of baseball it is very disrespectful to the player.  It happened on opening day with MadBum, and it always ends around the sixth inning. But, end of the story if someone is going perfect, say nothing, have some superstition.
