Adrian Peterson and the New England Patriots?

Free agent running back Adrian Peterson recently had a tryout earlier this month with the New England Patriots, where the organization put him through some on field workouts.  But what did it really mean for the organization and Peterson.  Adrian Peterson will continue to be a hot topic no matter where he visits, but just the thought of Peterson in a Patriots jersey, standing in the backfield with the GOAT in Tom Brady gives any football fan butterflies. Throughout the years, Tom Brady has had a notion to turn any running back into a great running back ( Laurence Maroney, Danny Woodhead,  Shane Vereen, Stevan Ridley, Benjarvus Green-Ellis, and seemingly any and all running backs in between), so put an established league leading rusher in Peterson (2008,2012,2015) to chew up some yards and touchdowns when Brady isn’t throwing it, and how can you not be excited? Only time will tell if Peterson will indeed step into the backfield with Tom Brady, and many questions regarding his health will be brought up, and if he can return to the old power back he was with the Vikings.  Even some oddmakers have tagged the Patriots has favorites to land the former Vikings running back. The door is open, and the appeal is there, however the Patriots seemingly have a crowded back field now even with LaGarrette Blount leaving, per the below depth chart currently:

Dion Lewis

James White

D.J. Foster

Brandon Bolden

Tyler Gaffney

Rex Burkhead
