Little Miss Champion

Let’s be honest, if your a fan of WWE, last nights Payback PPV felt like a hodgepodge of matches leftover from the pre-superstar shakeup.  The match between Raw Women’s Champion Bayley and Alexa Bliss was one of the exceptions.  This feud started when Bliss was moved to Raw after a successful run on Smackdown that included her being a two time Smackdown Women’s Champion.  Bliss then went onto win a fatal 4 way against Sasha Banks, Mickie James, and Nia Jax on Raw 2 weeks ago.

Last night, the match between Bayley and Bliss was back and forth, with Bayley almost securing a win after hitting Bliss with a “Macho Man” elbow off the top ropes only to have Bliss kick out.  Bayley rolled Bliss up for a pin with a small package, and when Bliss kicked out, Bayley hit her head on the ring post.  Bliss realizing that Bayley was hurt, took advantage and hit Bayley with a DDT and the pin.

With this win Alexa Bliss became the first ever woman to win both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s championships in history.  This is a major accomplishment, especially with the caliber of the women superstars in WWE for both brands.  Little Miss Bliss vs the Hugger will surely bring us great matches in the future and I anticipate a rematch as early as tonight on Raw for Bayley.  Charlotte Flair should watch her back as Alexa is giving her a run for top Women’s Superstar in the company.
