R.I.P Christopher “Big Black” Boykin

If you grew up watching the hit show “Rob & Big” like I did, then you probably remember the big guy as “Big Black.” It was released earlier today that Big Black had passed away at the age of 45. A cause of death, however, has not been released up to this point.

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin was most well known for his role in the hit show with Rob Dyrdek called “Rob & Big.” In the show cameras followed around Rob and Big’s daily happenings, where Big happened to be Rob’s best friend and body guard. Which him being a body guard doesn’t make sense to me because other than being big, he also had a huge personality and seemed to be a genuinely good dude, but that’s for another time.

Despite the relationship falling apart for a while between Rob and Big, they quickly patched things up when they both realized that their friendship was bigger than a reality television show.

Something many people may not know is that before his stardom, he served in the United States Navy. Not only was this man a star, but he was also a veteran of our country. It doesn’t get much better than that if you ask me. All of our veterans are stars. Even if he wasn’t a reality television star, he should get the same respect for serving our country.

Big Black had a huge personality to go along with his huge body, and no matter what he was doing on the show or in real life, he always found a way to make you laugh at least once. You will be missed Big Black. RIP brotha!
