3 Hitters, 3 Pitchers, and 3 Duds for tonight’s Main Slate on Fanduel. Please note that this is made before lineups are confirmed; always check your lineups and the weather before lock to ensure your player(s) is/are starting and that the game will play. Good Luck!
I am playing the express slate tonight because I am fading the game at Coors field. If a player fits into the express slate it will be noted.
Evan Gattis – Hou($3,400) – @NYY – Gattis plays fly ball pitcher Jordan Montgomery tonight and has hit left handed pitching well (.692 slugging/.385 iso).
Jay Bruce – NYM($4,100) – @Mil – BvP special, 12 hits including 3 homers in 33 career at bats (.364) vs Garza. He has been pedestrian the past 7 days (.250 with 1 HR) and might be lower owned because of it. *Express Slate*
Ryan Schimpf – SDP($3,400) @CHW – Schimpf has 6 HRs vs RHP this season, he also hits fly balls 66% of the time and Miguelul;’ Gonzalez is a fly ball pitcher. *Express Slate*
Clayton Kershaw – LAD($9,800) @Col – Pitching at Coors is always risky, but Kershaw under $10k doesn’t happen very often. Current Rockies roster has a .227 average vs. Kershaw.
Dylan Bundy – Bal ($8,000) @ KC – Bundy has pitched at least 6 innings in all 7 of his starts this season. KC wOba vs RHP is .284 and ISO is .139, neither of those numbers are impressive. Biggest risk for Bundy is he is a “fly ball” pitcher, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gave up a few homers. *EXPRESS SLATE*
Tyler Glasnow – Pit($6,400) @ Arizona – Very risky and gpp only, but Arizona strikes out 24.5% of the time and Glasnow K’s over 9 hitters per 9 innings. He also walks around 5 per game and has only averaged 4.5 innings per start.
Ian Desmond – Col($3,200) vs LAD – Desmond is batting .333 since returning from injury, he will be higher owned because of his depressed price since they are facing Kershaw in Coors and for those who are chasing points. 3 for 29 (.103) with 10 Ks in his career vs. Kershaw.
Lonnie Chisenhall – Cle ($2,800) vs Min – Chisenhall is a known platoon hitter who usually does very well vs. RHP and tonight if your trying to fit Dodger bats he is relatively cheap. Unfortunately, he doesn’t hit Ervin Santana very well (1 for 17 vs Santana).
Matt Harvey – NYM ($8,200) @Mil- This is more of a hunch than an actual statistical fade; I am not sure where Harvey’s head is at right now and vs Milwaukee who can put runs on the board I don’t recommend Harvey tonight. *Express Slate*
