Fanduel MLB GPP picks 5/17/17

3 Hitters, 2 Pitchers, and 1 Dud for tonight’s Main Slate on Fanduel.  Please note that this is made before lineups are confirmed; always check your lineups and the weather before lock to ensure your player(s) is/are starting and that the game will play.  Good Luck!

Ian Happ – 2B/ChC ($2,200) – Very Chalky pick for tonight, probably better for cash but he is hot with 2 HRs in 10 at bats vs. RHP since being called up.

Chad Pinder – 2B/Oak ($2,500) – Hitting RHP well and Bergman (Sea) has given up 2 homers per 9 innings.

Yonder Alonso – 1B/Oak ($3,400) – Bergman is not good vs LHB either, in fact I would trust all the bats in Oakland’s lineup.

Michael Pineda – NYY ($8,600) – Striking out 30% of hitters this season and has averaged 5.9 innings per start and 10.9 K/9 innings.

Matt Shoemaker – LAA ($8,100) – He is risky but the White Sox are awful this season, they strike out 23% of the time and don’t hit the ball very hard (26.6%, under 30% is bad).

Nolan Arenado 3B/Col ($4,300) – Arenado is one of my favorite players, but he is not hitting RHP this season.  Ervin Santana is due for regression but I don’t think that happens today.
