Who is Ryan Switzer?

In the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Wide Receiver Ryan Switzer from the University of North Carolina.  So the question quickly becomes who is Ryan Switzer. To quickly answer this question, look no further than Cole Beasley, the standout slot receiver for the Cowboys.  Switzer has already been compared to Beasley in many ways, and the hopes are the two shifty and quick Wide Receivers can complement each other in the upcoming season and beyond, and run similar route trees for Dak Prescott.

Switzer’s main position would seem to be special teams, where he will be a weapon returning kick-offs and punts for the Cowboys.  In his 4 years at UNC, Switzer returned 7 punts and 2 kick-offs for touchdowns, while tallying 5 of his punt returns for TD’s in 2013.  He was also able to add 19 receiving touchdowns over 2985 yards from scrimmage over his collegiate career.

The NFL saw how dynamic the Dallas Cowboys offense can be with the likes of Jason Witten, Ezekiel Elliot, Dak Prescott, Cole Beasley, and Dez Bryant.  Now the question becomes how much flexibility and fire does Switzer add to the already hot mix of weapons?  These answers should be answered come September.
