After the long awaited bout between McGregor and Mayweather and all the hype surrounding it, it is finally over with, what’s next? As we know Floyd is “sitting pretty” with his perfect 50-0 record, and his boat loads of money, he won’t be doing much fighting basically… for forever, but what about McGregor? As he said he was heading back over to the UFC after his quick boxing stint, what does this mean? Let’s not forget that Diaz and McGregor have some unfinished business. The two have a tied record of 1-1 against each other, and we all know what that means. If McGregor does decide to return to the UFC, could this happen? I seriously hope so (My wallet disagrees but… eh what the hell it’s a must see). I believe it to be rather obvious that both of them would love to “fight to the death” one last time. The beef has been on the rise again, as Diaz commented on a picture that included a “black-eyed” McGregor, next to one of his friends, Dillon Danis, who also takes part in his camp. Diaz used profanity, poking fun at either one of the two, but either way, it still is a shot at McGregor whether it be directly to him, or to his camp members. McGregor may have a few options, whether it be the obvious one which would be to fight Diaz, defend the title, or even shock us all and get back in the boxing ring again. Weighing out his options, what’s the best one? Well, that is only up to McGregor to decide, but I know what I hope he chooses, and I am sure a lot of people feel the same way. As I know we would all love to see the trilogy of what has been a great rivalry so far, keep the spirits up, hang onto that hope, and maybe, just maybe, we could get yet another blockbuster fight. Expect more information on what’s next for Conor in the upcoming months.
