Entering Thursday, the Angels find themselves on the cusp of the 2 wild card spots in the American League, 1 game behind the Minnesota Twins. The acquisition of Justin Upton does not come as a huge surprise, as the Angels have been seeking another heart of the lineup slugger such as Upton, who would seemingly fill left field for at least the last month or so of the season, and possibly sign a long term deal after the season.
Justin Upton is currently hitting .279, with 28 home runs and 94 RBI’s.
