Week 1 is always tough, but here we go.  These picks will include my confidence level on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest.  (All lines are via My BookieUse the code “wtpsports” when you sign up and get a 100% bonus on your first deposit. That’s mybookie.ag).

Iowa (-11.5) vs Wyoming (Saturday 12pm, BTN): Iowa isn’t as good as they were last season, but Wyoming was never good to begin with.  I’ll take Iowa to cover at home. 6u

#6 PSU (-31) vs Akron (Saturday 12pm, ABC): Penn State comes in as the 6th ranked team in the nation.  The Akron Zips come in as the Akron Zips.  ‘Nuff said. 7u

#7 Oklahoma (-43) vs UTEP (Saturday 3:30pm, FOX): Oklahoma is favored by 43 points, but UTEP can’t be that bad right?  I was actually going to pick UTEP, but powerhouse teams have been covering monster spreads all week.  I’ll un-confidently take the Sooners. 2u

#11 Michigan (-4) @ #25 Florida in AT&T Stadium (Saturday 3:30pm, ABC): No doubt that Michigan wins by at least a touchdown. 9u

App St (+14.5) @ #15 Georgia (Saturday 6:15pm, ESPN): Appalachian State has been known to cause problems for ranked opponents early in the season.  I think that has a chance to happen today. 3u

App St/#15 Georgia Over 45 (Saturday 6:15pm, ESPN): If App St can beat the spread, this game with go over.  Great parlay opportunity. 4u

#16 L’ville (-24.5) @ Purdue in Lucas Oil Stadium (Saturday 7:30pm, FOX):  Heisman winner Lamar Jackson is going to start of this season with a bang.  6 TDs for L-Jax today. 10u

MTSU (+3.5) vs Vandy (Saturday 8:00pm, CBSSN): The SEC is dead.  Mid-majors are hot in the streets… I think. 2u

UCLA (-4) vs Texas A&M in The Rose Bowl (Sunday 7:30pm, FOX): UCLA may not be in the Top 25 to start the season, but they will be by the time it ends. 4u

#25 Tennessee (-3) @ GA Tech in Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Monday 8:00pm, ESPN): A 3 point spread in college football is basically a pick ’em.  Should I pick arguably the worst team in the ACC, or the #25 team in the nation?  I’ll take the latter. 7u
