After the Thursday night game, we should’ve known this would be one of the best weeks for football. It was filled with comebacks, blowouts, upsets, hot takes from media – everything you could ever want from the NFL.
The question looming after yesterday’s victory over the Texans: should we feel great about the Pats’ comeback win, or be worried that a rookie quarterback came to play against New England and looked like a superstar. It’s scary to think that this team might have real issues; if we had trouble with the Houston offense, what will happen when we play the Steelers, Raiders, Falcons, and other more imposing offensive teams? The good news is that it seems Brandin Cooks is in Brady’s circle of trust, which should be fun to watch all season long. This defense needs to get better, but I hope when Hightower is back, he can help, though I fear that he alone cannot fix the whole defense.
Another piece of good news is all the AFC teams seem flawed. Steelers got beat in Chicago, Raiders got waxed in DC, and the Broncos got beat in Buffalo. The only team that is undefeated is the Chiefs, but it’s only Week 3. While it seems like they could be the real deal, I cannot buy into Alex Smith and Andy Reid just yet, but you never know.
Week 4 begins tomorrow! NEW WEEK, NEW HOPE!
PS: DID YOU SEE OBJ TOUCHDOWN CELEBRATION?! IT’S A MUST WATCH – LEGIT DID A MOTION OF PISSING ON THE EAGLES, TOP-NOTCH DOUCHEBAG OBJ, BUT IT WAS HILARIOUS!!
