New England Patriots

Views of The NFL from The 603: Week 5

So another weekend in the NFL, and although the Patriots played on Thursday, it felt like a bye week not seeing them on Sunday. I like my Sundays for three things: my lady, Dogfish 90 Minute, and Pats playing on CBS at 1 PM, but did not get it this weekend so I had a chance to look around the league.

But let’s backtrack to Thursday: did the Patriots win or did the Buccaneers just lose that game? I think we will find out if this defense is getting any better when they play the Falcons in two weeks, especially after that clown Nick Folk missed 3 field goals at one point. I felt bad for him, no, that is a lie, I loved every second of him getting the yips. But a win is a win, no matter how ugly.

Speaking of ugly, did you catch the Steelers game? Remember when Leonard Fournette said the NFL was easy to him and most people laughed? He sure made it look easy in Pittsburg: the guy had fun out there, embarrassing for that Steeler team. Big Ben looks like he is done – that whole class of 2004 NFL QBs does: ELI, Ben, Phillip, just a big bag of suck…YUCK! (makes you appreciate TB12)

The Chiefs are still undefeated, and it seems like they are the team to beat, but I still look at Denver as the team I would fear the most. We are only 5 games into the season, but everything is not what we expected. Let’s see how this week goes. The NFC has strong teams, and it will be interesting to see if Carolina, Philadelphia, Detroit, Los Angeles and Minnesota keep it up, or if it still just comes down to Seattle and Green Bay. Week 6 coming in two days. NEW WEEK NEW HOPE.

PS: IM SORRY BUT AARON RODGERS IS THE BEST QB IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW. WAS THERE A DOUBT HE WOULDNT MARCH DOWN AND BEAT DALLAS? AS THE YOUNG KIDS SAY DONT @ ME… WAIT DO THE KIDS STILL SAY THAT? HARD TO KEEP UP
