After having to write another post about the ridiculous Ball family, it’s so nice to get to report about a nice NBA family.
Larry Nance Jr. walked onto the court in his shiny new Cavaliers uniform for his first dunk of the contest, but quickly changed into his father and namesake’s old uniform before making the shot.
He then replicated Larry Nance Sr.’s dunk from the first contest in 1984:
Nance Sr. won the first-ever Slam Dunk Contest back in 1984, so it’s sweet and fitting that his son honored him with this blast from the past.

Junior’s father has already asked the Cavs to make his retired number available to his son, who was part of the blockbuster trade between Cleveland and Los Angeles earlier this month.
