Kids Shine and Remain Unbeaten in Preseason

The Boston Bruins battled the Washington Capitals in the preseason, winning by a score of 5-2, and doing so without any of the main starters. This win, which was the third in a row for the boys, came from the young kids, who are proving to have some real value.

The Bruins, don’t pick up this win without two big performers. The first was Zach Senyshyn, who scored two goals and was all over the ice. The second was the netminder, Daniel Vladar, who stopped the puck 31 times. The other goal scorers were Jakub Lauko, who has voiced his desire to play in North America this year, Sean Kuraly, who is fighting for a roster spot, and Cameron Hughes.

Lauko, 18, has been very good this camp and it comes with a nice highlight as he beats star netminder Braden Holtby and gives a great celebration with the classic no glove fist pump.

Now, this isn’t a regular season game and there is still a lot of room for improvement for this team, and it starts with the defense. They left Vladar out to dry at some points and he came up huge a couple times to keep the Bruins going. It needs to get better.

Overseas in China, the Bruins also got a win against Calgary, and that win was impressive as they remain unbeaten in preseason.

Jake Debrusk had a fantastic trip to China, especially during the last win. He scored twice while he was sick with the runs. There were many bathroom breaks, but the kid toughed it out and ended up putting two in the back of the net, which were both excellent. Expectations are high for the second year players after producing 16 goals his rookie season.
