The Boston Bruins have had a good start to the season with a 2-1 record and are looking to improve to 3-1 tonight.
The Bruins will take on the best player in the league when Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers visit TD Garden. The Oilers have only played one game and it resulted in a 5-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils in Sweden. They had a rough season last year, going 36-40-6, and are looking to rebound this season.
The Bruins are looking to shut down McDavid with their top line. which is arguably the best line in hockey right now. It should be fun to see McDavid go up against one of the best two-way forwards in NHL history in Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron has been all over the ice this year so far, and he’s been lighting up the scoresheet with a hat trick during last game. If the Bruins win, it will most likely be on the backs of Bergeron, Marchand, and Pastrnak.
Like last year, McDavid doesn’t have a lot of help surrounding him, so if the Bruins can shut him down, they should be able to get the win and start looking to the Red Wings on Saturday.
A generational talent like McDavid on the other side should make this an exciting game to watch.
