Alright people, welcome to Ty does a baseball. Normally I write about basketball, but as a Boston sports fan and a sucker for championship DVD’s (you know all 11 of them), I need to give my two cents about the locker room after game 3 of the World Series.
Now that the World Series is over, we can look back on the season with pride, happiness, relief, and even sadness because baseball is over (shoutout Sanders). Everyone will remember the 18 inning marathon during game 3 and how Eovaldi pitched his heart out until making one mistake leading to a walk-off home run. Now normally when a pitcher gives up a walk-off or even just comes out of a game, his teammates will give them the classic, “Good game man.”
After game 3, I saw one of the coolest things I have ever seen a team do. The Sox knew they let him down after a heroic pitching performance. When Eovaldi took the walk from the mound to the dugout, he might as well have been a magnet. Instant support from literally everyone. They were surrounding him like a pond of fish all trying to get the one worm.

From Price meeting him before he could even take a step in the dugout, to the rest of the guys following him into the locker room, to whatever was said in the same locker room. I need to hear all of it. Give me that behind the scenes of what was said. I need to hear everyone’s own side stories of that moment and how that helped them turn around the next day. I need this more than I need oxygen to breathe. Sadly, all I can do is wait for the 11th championship DVD to add to the collection.
