Bruins Win in Montreal and Look Ahead to Toronto

The Boston Bruins traveled to Montreal on Saturday night to face off against the Montreal Canadians. They smacked the Habs in the mouth and won 3-2.

With goals from David Backes, John Moore, and Jake Debrusk, this team is starting to find its game. Cassidy has made this lineup start to work and it looks like he found his second line. David Krejci centering Danton Heinen and Jake Debrusk has been the combo that has worked and it has been a joy to watch. Krejci looks like the Krejci of old and Debrusk is starting to finish the goals that he wasn’t earlier.

At the same time, there has been another line doing well too, which is the fourth line of David Backes, Sean Kuraly and Chris Wagner. The big-hitting, grinding line has been solid and Saturday night, David Backes picked someone’s pocket and scored glove side on Carey Price. This line has been improving and really are finding their role on this team.

Lastly, Tuukka Rask played very well in the first and throughout most of the game. He now has picked up his game since his return. Both Halak and Rask look to be fighting for starting bids, as Halak will start in Toronto where the Bruins will play the Maple Leafs. This is game for the Bruins to get a couple points back and get closer to the Leafs in the standings. With Bergeron, Chara, McAvoy, and Carlo all out, this is a game where everyone else will need to step up big time.
