Tom Brady is The Lebron James of Football

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever put on a helmet. His pears agree, former opponents agree and most of all, Hall of Famers agree. There is nothing Brady can’t do. He has led the Patriots to eight super bowls and won five of them. He has broken and set records, embarrassed competition and proven year after year that he is the best. Any of this sound like another athlete? You guessed it, Lebron James. The two have very similar attributes and are arguably known as the “GOATS” of their game.

Both players make everyone around them better
Tom Brady and Lebron James are notorious for making the team they have around them much better. Brady has been given a handful of receivers over his career that have now become household names. Wes Welker was a back up in Miami who barley saw any playing time. With the help of Brady, Welker become a phenom and was one of his best targets. When Welker hit the market, everybody wanted him. Deion Branch was a super bowl MVP because of Brady. With the combination of Troy Brown and Deion Branch, you really didn’t know who was going to get the ball. Other names like Donte Stallworth, Jabar Gaffney, and even the creation of Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edleman. Brady has a team this season of receivers that many people did not know a few years ago with the exception of Gronk and Jules. Patterson was a kick return man at best, Chris Hogan was a lacrosse player and then a Buffalo Bill back up and Phillip Dorsett was just another Colt.

Lebron James in his third season took a Cleveland Cavalier team to the finals. A Cavs team that had absolutely no right being there was only there because of King James himself. Lebron has been to the NBA finals 8 years in a row, yes that’s right, 8 years in a row and is competing to return again. Lebron is now a Laker who last season did not make the postseason or even have a .500 record. Lebron is making all the young talent around him work harder and become better athletes. You could put both Brady and Lebron on any team and they would succeed.

Life After Them Both
One of the most feared times in Patriot fans lives is the day Tom Brady walks away from football. One of the most feared time in whatever team Lebron chose in the off season is the time he steps away. Lebron stepped away from the Cavs and joined the Heat. When this happened, the Cavs tanked and became a laughing stock of the NBA. It happened to the Heat when he left and returned home. Although the Heat were not a total loss, they were not going back to the finals anytime soon. Lebron left the Cavs again and joined the Lakers and currently the Cavs are being laughed at once again.

It is unknown how the Patriots will be with Brady, but in my opinion they will suck if they don’t make moves soon. Brian Hoyer is not the answer for New England and the rest of the offense isn’t looking to amazing either. The Patriots receiving core is not grade A and without Brady that could get exposed. With no solid back up QB to be molded and with a mediocre receiving core it might end up being the same faith as the Cavs and Heat. With that being said, the Cavs and Heat weren’t coached by Bill Belichick so the advantage is in the Patriots favor. Only time will tell if Bill will be staying around long enough for us to find out.

Domination
Both athletes are the superior beings to the rest of the league. Nobody can guard Lebron, and no other Quarterback can kiss the cleats Brady wears every game. Players are thrown into the conversation but its also James and Brady that end up at number one. Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning are all great, but none will surpass Tom Brady. Same goes for players like Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and even Dwayne Wade. All are great but in the end, can’t and wont pass King James. The two are known for their domination of their respective sports and dethroning them is not something that can be done easily.

Everybody Hates Them
If you aren’t a Patriots or Lakers fan, chances are good you hate the two kings with a passion. The rest of the league respects them, but fans will never show them love. Fans hate Lebron no matter where he goes and that is for the simple fact that he doesn’t play for them. Brady has embarrassed the league more than once and its getting old for every fan base outside of Massachusetts. The more they win, the more hated they become.

The two have proven to be one of, if not the best players in their respective sport. They have shown time and time again that they can do anything they want and nobody can say much about it. The more they win, they more they are hated, and the more the sports world loves them.
