The New York Yankees have signed another second basemen. DJ LeMahieu from the Colorado Rockies has signed a two-year contract with the Bombers, and it raises a lot of questions and concerns.
With Gleybar Torres as the teams starting second basemen and now Troy Tulowitzki in competing position for shortstop, this signing raises a couple eyebrows. Why do the Yankees need him? Granted, he is a very good defensive second basemen and he is solid at the plate so the signing is not bad—just confusing. Are the Yankees planning on using him at second or moving him somewhere else and moving another player?
Short but sweet, the questions surrounding this signing will have to be answered during the rest of the winter, or during spring training.
