Bet The Over: NFL Week 10 Middle Urinal Must Bets

ANYWHO, welcome to Middle Urinal Must Bets, presented by the WTP Sports Book (go DM @WTP_SportsBook on Twitter to place your bets). Each week on Live from the Middle Urinal—an OK-at-best podcast you certainly should(n’t) listen to—myself and fellow degenerate sports bettors Dom, Rob, and Phil give you our…LOCKS OF THE WEEK. After going 4-0 (Matt) and 2-2 (Dom), now we’re committing to 16 weeks of pickin’ LOCKS for the boys. Make sure you listen each week—we give extra picks in the pod!

So far, we’re 12-14-2 on the year and 20-17-2 with bonus/guests included—not bad for guys who don’t know what they’re doing. Now, without further ado, here are our LOCKS OF THE WEEK for NFL Week 10. We also have a guest pick (which are 3-0 on the year), but you’ve got to listen to the show for that one.

Matt (4-5; overall, 8-5)
The Game: Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals; Sunday, 1:00pm
The Pick: BAL -10

I’ve dropped the ball here. But I’m heading into this pick on a heater (8-0 in my last 8) so combined with that fact, I’m due for a win here. I’ve been saying this since before the Patriots loss to the Ravens, but Lamar Jackson is the real deal. The Ravens are a good football team. The Cincinnati Bengals, though, are not. In fact, they’re quite bad. I don’t care if AJ Green plays, if the Ravens are only giving 10 in a game they’re going to win by 15+, I’ll take that bet. Let’s go.

Dom (5-4; overall, 7-6)
The Game: New York Giants at New York Jets; Sunday, 1:00pm
The Pick: NYJ +3

This is going to be a terrible football game. Tons of mistakes on both sides. Imagine a final score of 20-19, or 13-12. Dom even predicted one team will miss two extra points. In his words, “we’re due!” This is a numbers pick. If the Jets were favorites, we wouldn’t touch this with a 10-foot pole. But they’re not, and the team they’re playing is bad. Also, home-field advantage is out of the window. It’s a 50-50% game, might as well ride the dog.

Rob (2-2-1; overall, 2-2-1)
The Game: Los Angeles Rams at Pittsburgh Steelers; Sunday, 4:25pm
The Pick: LAR -3.5

Rob’s already vanquished one of his enemies in the Los Angeles Chargers this week. He’s on a mission to end all the teams who have spurned him, and with the Pittsburgh Steelers next on the list, he’s counting on the Los Angeles Rams to do his dirty work. This is a big game for the Rams, and it’s an opportunity for them to either fall out of the NFC race with a loss or vault themselves back into the conversation with a win. This is a team that just went to a Super Bowl. It’s time to see if they’re worth their chops. Book ’em.

Phil (1-2; overall, 1-2)
The Game: Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears; Sunday, 1:00pm
The Pick: DET +2.5

The Bears are frauds. Not good. They have not shown anything this year, meanwhile, the Lions have shown they’re at least frisky—and we like frisky. Matt Stafford is playing very well this year, and while these teams are probably more evenly matched that we think at face value, there’s a chance this is another toss-up. Might as well take the value. Plus, this line being 2.5 points with Chicago at home means that Vegas actually thinks the Lions are a little better by not giving them the standard 3 points for home field. Could the Bears show up? Maybe. Probably not.

The Game: Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Sunday, 1:00pm
The Pick: AZ +4.5

We rode Arizona to the promised land last Thursday, and we’re going to keep that good juju going with them this week. The Buccaneers can clearly play some good football, but Jameis is a guarantee to fall apart at the end of the game, and the Cardinals have proven they’re at least capable of hanging in until the end. This might be a close one down the wire, but 4.5 points are just enough to make this tasty. Hop on the train.

Every Sunday morning, I’ll be bringing you these picks, so make sure you place all your bets with the WTP Sports Book by DMing us at @WTP_SportsBook on Twitter. Go make some money, folks. And listen to the show on Wednesdays (and Sundays!) anywhere you can find podcasts!
