Boston Bruins 2nd line center David Krejci got hurt during the preseason game against the Philadelphia Flyers. It is a lower body injury and they won’t release what exactly it was. It looked like an awkward fall for Krejci and I don’t want to speculate on the injury but if it’s a knee injury it could be worse than first thought.
Cassidy however, has said that it isn’t serious and that he was in today but not to skate or practice. He was in today for treatment on that injury and Cassidy doesn’t think it should hold him back from the opener against Dallas. Krejci played 81 out of 82 games last year and is the Bruins steady man on the second line. With Jake Debrusk on his wing can the Bruins find another big winger to get the line some serious consistency for that line. With Coyle holding down the third line they really need to find somebody to lineup with him too. Kuhlman provided some speed for the Bruins second line but it wasn’t anything that he could sustain.
If Krejci can stay healthy this year, the team should be in good position for the long haul again.
