I love Gary Sheffield.
Even as a kid when I was groomed to hate Yankees players like they were the spawn of satan, I couldn’t help but ogle at him. Maybe it was the batting stance, maybe it was the fact he had the fastest hands in the business, maybe it was that he hit absolute nukes, or maybe it was the fact that in MVP Baseball 2005 after he hit home runs he would do this little hop step thing that was uber badass (that was a very specific detail), but all told Gary Sheffield was/still is one of my favorite baseball players of all time.
Apparently, even at the ripe age of 51, Sheffield still has it and can hit absolute LAZERS.

Now, before you losers come out here saying “He’S uSiNg A mEtAl BaT”, go ask your dad to hit a round of BP with a metal bat and see if he can even get it out of the infield, let alone out of the park.
What really makes this truly awesome is the fact that Sheffield is ultra-casually ripping a cigar the entire time. You know what, because Gary is really a legend, he’s probably pulling on one of his own HR500 cigars because he is without a doubt the coolest person of all time.
I need to see Gary Sheffield’s slow-pitch softball highlights ASAP.
