The Tampa Bay Rays Can’t Even Get a Sellout for a Playoff Game and It’s Hilarious at this Point

It’s no secret that Tampa Bay is not an ideal baseball market. The Tampa Bay Rays have been at the bottom of MLB attendance figures since the team’s inception in 1998.

The joke has long been, ‘The Rays couldn’t sell out a playoff game LOL’. The joke gets even funnier when you realize that they, in fact, can’t sell out for a playoff game.

In a do-or-die game 3 facing elimination at home, the Tampa Bay faithful came out in droves.

Yuck.

Tropicana Field has a listed capacity of 42,735, they were barely able to squeeze in 32 K for the first playoff baseball game in Tampa in 6 years.

I mean this was just gross. What’s embarrassing is that the Rays are a REALLY good baseball team, and they showed that today as they beat the dick out of the Astros 10-3. The undersized crowd even had some stuff to get loud about when Kevin Kiermaier went deep in the second.

Imagine if they had 10,000 more fans at the ballpark? That place would be RUCKUS. Instead, we get images like this to hang our hats on.

Move the team back to Canada, The city and people of Tampa don’t deserve this baseball team.
